MICHAEL JACKSON - MY THOUGHTS ON THE LEGEND

I first remember seeing and hearing Michael when he sang Rock With You as it bumped all over the radio. He sounded soulful, which i've always had a connection to... but. it wasn't until Billie Jean and Thriller that i became hooked with his entire brand of entertainment. Dude was just pure genius. Also, just a quick sidenote.. how lucky is Paul McCartney? being the ONLY artist featured on a 9 song album which has sold more copies worldwide than any other in history. Dammmm yo.. in 1982 Michael released the best selling album of ALL TIME... Won 8 grammys and 7 of the 9 songs were released as singles. All of them made the Billboard top 10. that shit is amazing. And thats why he will always be King.

In his later years... yea... we all criticized his behavior... his look...
but to be totally honest... When i heard he passed yesterday. I was in shock for a few moments and then i was maddd sad yo... like damnn, not Michael. Not at 50? shit... my dad is 52 and he's chillin... kicking dudes assess at bars and shit.. (no lie, forreals). So how can this be? Everyone's gonna see the darkness or the light (depending on what you believe) someday. but it just felt so sudden. Now i can't help but to listen to his entire catalog of music. and to say the least... its very inspiring.. very moving... I don't know about some of you... but i'm gonna spend these next few days paying respect to the man's work...

To sum up this post, i'd like to just say that we should all focus on the great things people leave behind once they pass. Michael will obviously live thru all of us as long as we keep playing his music and try to figure out that fly assss MoonWalk he did. My condolences to friends and family of the man, the legend, the spirit... and thank you Michael... thank you so much for your music... seriously...

Ps.. the must see magic of the man himself...

i'm out...

  1. I totally agree. It's funny but I always expected Michael to kinda fade away physically - not a sudden death. But I've been listening to his music for years and now even more. And really listening to the message of his songs. He was all about love and togetherness, wanted to end injustices and just LIVE. But his music ensures that he will live on and never be forgotten. I can be at peace with what happened because I believe he did all and then some that he was meant to in this world.
